For those who don’t know much about whisky, it is not always easy to find one you like and which fulfils your expectations. As for me, I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted and discovered this delicious islander single malt, Scapa Skiren, from the Orkney Archipelago in Scotland.

This archipelago is cut off from the rest of the world, with a wild scenery, an exceptional environment ruled by Nature’s whimsical ways.

Traditionally made, this delicate and subtle SCAPA whisky is aged in first fill American oak casks.

Sweet tasting and accessible, this single malt whisky (*) is produced in small quantities in the Scapa distillery where 5 people work including the master distiller Brian MacAulay to offer their customers a single malt whisky with a unique style and quality.

As I am sure you have understood by now, I am talking about a real, authentic whisky, rare and flamboyant, which is elaborated on an island where earth and water merge.

It tastes of flowers, with a hint of honey and pineapple, like a burst of fruit but without the aggressive taste which can sometimes be found in other brands that I have tasted in the past.

I am undoubtedly a fan of whisky again and I can wholeheartedly recommend this brand!

To drink in moderation of course! 🙂

Cheers!
